Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)

The Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) is part of the Melo Clinic & Pregnancy Centre’s nursing team and participates in offering healthcare services at the MCPC. The Clinic RN provides holistic care that is evidence-based, and trauma informed.

 

MCPC clinical services include unplanned pregnancy support and testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The Clinic RN provides compassionate, client-centred nursing care and health education to empower clients to make informed decisions about his/her sexual and reproductive health. Daily activities include providing screening, testing and treatment for STIs, pregnancy testing as well as unintended pregnancy options support.

 

Candidates must be Registered Nurses in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and able to perform standard clinical procedures according to best practice. They should have strong assessment and skills, demonstrate a commitment to patient- and family-centred care, be proficient with electronic documentation, and have a solid understanding of professional standards and regulatory requirements. Experience in sexual health care is preferred but not required.

 

The Clinic RN commits to providing holistic client care aligned with CNO Practice Standards and expresses full agreement with MCPC’s core documents including Statement of Faith, and Code of Counselling and Client Care Ethics.

 

This is a part-time position (21 hrs/ week) in MCPC’s Windsor and Leamington clinics (14 hours/ week and 7 hours/ week in Leamington) to ensure nursing staff coverage for the Windsor and Leamington clinics.
